Interested or Invested?

Mirror on the wall, here we are again.
Through the rise and fall, you've been my only friend.
You told me that they can't understand the man I am,
so ill just lay here talking to myself again.
copy and paste this URL and go to it, now.
Ok Go is this really cool band that deserves serious praise for their awesome music and incredible use of visuals. As soon as you watch one video you will end up browsing a lot of their songs and videos and fall in love!! They are genius! Truly though, I wish I was this creative.

This is a picture of me and my cousin Andrew reflected in a TV. When seeing our reflection he quickly stated, "Look Kristen! We are on TV!" so I told him we should take a picture and when we did he was the one who told me, "HEY! Make a funny face. These small things are the reason I love cousins.

"Without you, tomorrows wouldn't be worth the wait and yesterday's wouldn't deserve remembering."

"Courage is the price that life exacts for granting peace, the soul that knows it not, knows no real ease from little things; knows not the livid loneliness of fear, nor mountain heights where better joy can hear the sound of wings." - Amelia Earhart

"If you don't know what you want, you will end up with a lot you don't."

" 'How do you spell love?' Piglet asked. 'You don't spell it,' Pooh replied, 'You feel it.' "

"in these bodies we'll live in these bodies we'll die
where you invest your love, you invest your life"

Have you ever been thinking about someone and they wonder if maybe they are thinking about you at the same time. Maybe you waltzed across their mind as they hit yours. Maybe they are making wishes that involve you while you are dreaming stories about them. Maybe they are smiling at memories you've shared while you are giggling at precious moments that have past. Maybe they are thinking about you, maybe they are not. Maybe they are wondering if you are thinking about them while you are wondering if they are thinking about you. Maybe... just maybe.. its just a huge circle of thought that runs around and around and around. Know we are thinking. :)

People, love them.

Why Wear Cute Clothes? We Are in Disneyland!!

2 Years is a lot like 24 months, similar to 104 weeks, and a close to 730 days. As the number get larger you realize that 730 days reminds you of 17,520 hours... kind of like 1,051,200 minutes and/or 63,072,000 seconds. Who knows how many breathes that is? How many times a heart might beat, how many times tears will fall, smiles will be worn, rage will be shed, wishes will be cast, letters will be written, words will be said, feelings will be hurt. How many of those 63,072,000 seconds will be spent in happiness? Sadness? Anger? Fear? How many of those 1,051,200 minutes will be spent loving? Kissing? Sharing? Eating? Praying? Cleaning? Listening? How many of those 17,520 hours will be spent working? Serving? Playing? Learning? Teaching? Caring? Hoping? Missing? How many of those 730 days will be spent advancing? Changing? Traveling? Evolving? How many of those 24 months will be spent in different seasons? Moving? Growing? Pretending? Being Real? Those two years can change a lot about a person.
If I was forced to choose one picture to sum up my Disneyland experience... this would be it, hands down.

 Michael Jackson + Dancing + Singing + Crazy Costumes + 80's + Interesting Characters + Pure amazingness

Thank you God for giving me good people. I honestly don't know how to explain how profoundly grateful and lucky I am to be surrounded by the most choice individuals on this earth. Not only did I get to spend some really great time in Disneyland with girls that just let me join their group... but I am also grateful for all my amazing continuing friendships. I hope they all know how much I love them and I can't wait to continue meeting new people because it is the best thing in the world.

"Hold it in, hold it in!"

Just try to make me more happy then I am right now. I dare you! In fact I would make a bet on that because I know it's impossible. How did I get so happy, what did I do to deserve this happiness.

Smiling as I write this.

The End.

+Happiness, Hit Her -- Like A Train On A Track+

[Just in case you wanted some randomness today.]
The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.” - Charles R. Swindoll
I hate it when you {have} to do hard things. Especially when you really want to do that hard thing but something inside you makes you feel like you just can't. It's hard to not be able to just do what you want to because of *fear*. I dislike being pushed into things. But sometimes being pushed is what you need, even when you absolutely hate it.
Happiness isn't always temporary. Because when you find things that make you happy, really happy, and you keep those things with you, and don't let those things fall away, you can always be happy. The trouble isn't keeping happiness it is keeping the things that make you happy.

It's Hard to Argue With 5-Year-Olds

When you try your best but you don't succeed.
When you get what you want but not what you need.
When you feel so tired but you can't sleep.
Stuck in reverse.
And the tears come streaming down your face.
When you lose something that you can't replace.
When you love someone but it goes to waste...
Could it be worse.

Maybe we've reached the mountain peak, and there's no more left to climb.
Maybe we've lost the magic piece and we're both to blind to find.
Let's start over, lets give love their wings.
Let's start over, stop fighting 'bout the same old things.
Let's start over, we can't let out good love die.
Maybe we can, start over, give love another life.

Thank God you blew it, thank god I dodged the bullet
I'm so over you,
so baby good looking' out.
I wanted you bad,
I'm so through with that,
'Cuz honestly you turned out to be the, best thing I never had.
You turned out to be the, best thing I never had.
And I'm gonna always be the, best thing you never had.
I hate jealousy. I hate the feeling so much, but sometimes, you just can't help it. In all honesty though, being jealous is the worst feeling you could ever feel. Worse then plain sadness, worse than anger, worse than regret, worse then confusion, worse then heartbreak, worse then hatred. Maybe it is worse then these feelings because jealousy really is all those feeling combined, it isn't just one particular thing to be angry at, or one particular thing to be sad about. You literally feel sad, mad, confused, heartbroken, hated, hate towards other, regretful, all together. That is probably why jealousy is so uncomfortable.

Kiss Me Then I'll Wake Up

"A big part of math is simply knowing your calculator." - Mrs. Taylor
It's funny when people are walking down the hall all alone and for some reason they decide to walk the other way and, instead of simply turning around and going the other way, they feel like they need to say something out loud to the random passers to explain why they look like a total idiot for going in the wrong direction. -- "Oh, ya!" -- "Hahaha, other way..." -- "Oh darn! My violin!" -- "Whoops, wrong direction..." -- "Agg, other way! --- Those are just a few of the things I have heard this week.
"He who has a 'why' to live, can bear with almost any 'how'." - Friedrich Nietzsche

"Be who you are, and say what you feel. Because those who mind don't matter and those that matter, don't mind." - Dr. Seuss

"Bad memories are like bullets. Some whiz by and only spook you. Others tear you open and leave you in pieces."

"I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they are right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself." - Marilyn Monroe

" 'Tell me one last thing," said Harry, 'Is this real? Or has this just been inside my head?' 'Of course it's happening inside your head, Harry, but why does that mean that it is not real?' "

"You can't just sit around and wait for things to happen. You have to make things happen. Begin with no fears and end with no regrets. What would you do if you weren't afraid? if you knew you couldn't fail? In life, sure, you get second chances, but at least make your first shot count." - unknown

"ELIZABETH: John, I counted myself so plain, so poorly made, no honest love could come to me! Suspicion kissed you when I did; I never knew how I should say my love. It were a cold house I kept!" - The Crucible

"What do we live for if not to make others lives easier?"
I love the teachers who conveniently plan their end of chapter math tests to be on a Friday. Some of you might think, "Oh that stinks, a Math test on Friday?!" but I see the hidden treasure... NO HOMEWORK OVER THE WEEKEND!! Sounds perfect to me!

I feel like most of the material put into this world is ridiculously overanalyzed. Writing, Music, Art, Dance, Historical Events, Language/Sayings, and even numbers. Sometimes I think that the population of the world is too busied by a search for a deeper meaning in everything. I think that things do have a deep meaning and it should be recognized to some extent, but why should we spend so much time analyzing others deep meanings and messages when we could be creating our own.

Why is being literal considered so rude and/or ugly? While being figurative, evasive and a bush beater is pretty and clever and elegant. I wish people would/could just say what they mean.
